DAY THIRTY THREE
Another brief one as I have a train to catch.
Well I downloaded the pattern, ordered some wool (which I'm already thinking is a bad choice before I've even collected it), and then, of course, sorted through my needles to discover I have nothing of the right size. What did I say about the importance of preparation a week or so back?
Never mind. Gives me an excuse to buy MORE KIT.
This has always been a bit of a vice and one I suspect I share with many creatives and makers. When asked, I've always said I don't have the collector's gene - apparently there is one - and with just a hint of supercilliousness, have tended to look down on those who do. I've just never seen how one gets that enthusiastic over collecting stuff that has no practical use.
Tools on the other hand - could supply a small building firm. Pens - I could open an art shop. Paper - forests have died only to now sit unused in my cupboard. 'How to' books - see picture.
These have practical use, you see. They will get used, someday. It is a terrible thing, the addiction to kit.
Onwards...parsimoniously.
